David Castillo

David Castillo studied Dance Studies and Sociolinguistics at the University of Bern and Zurich. He established himself as a freelance performer, performing at the Schauspielhaus Zurich, the Berliner Ensemble, the Fabriktheater Zurich, the Lichthoftheater Hamburg and the Staatstheater Braunschweig, among others. In his artistic and theoretical work, Castillo is interested in socio-political phenomena, in particular gentrification and climate change. Another research focus lies in digitality and dance, most recently through the investigation of Social Dance Media in his MA thesis.
